The Devonport Museum is an incredibly interesting historical record of Devonport containing memorabilia and artefacts dating back to its earliest settlement days.
It is tucked away in the beautiful Cambria Reserve in Vauxhall Rd, Devonport, less than 50 metres away from the Manse. You can get to it in about 60 seconds through our private gate into the Reserve. Too many visitors to Devonport overlook this gem – you must visit!
By the way, there is a strong historical link between the musuem and The Manse, as the museum is housed in the old Presbyterian Church, which was relocated from Church St in 1978. The Manse was originally the residence of the first Presbyterian minister.
The Museum had a total makeover in 2017 as part of a heritage television documentary and now looks better than ever.
Devonport Museum is open Saturday and Sunday, from 2pm to 4pm.
